About Anne

About Anne: So we have been watching this animation lately on our TV Plus. The title is "Anne of Green Gables". It was derived from the novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery. I remember watching this type of animation growing up and one of them is Sara the little princess and Cedie the little prince. That's where I got my nickname that i use online. It caught our attention right from the beginning and we have been so engaged in watching it lately. It is a story about an orphan girl who had lived with other families before. She was sent to meet siblings Marilla and Matthew who lives in Green Gables. At the start they were expecting a boy who will help them with their farm so they were quite in shock to find Anne. In the end they decided to keep Anne. Marilla is given the task to bring her up and teach her things she needed to learn. During her stay with Marilla and Matthew Anne has gotten into different types of mischief like being accused of losing Marillas brooch, putting liniment to the cake she baked, falling from the rooftop because of a dare and others like dyeing her hair green. But as time goes by Anne became a responsible and obedient girl. She has met her bossom friend Diana and they too have some adventures on their own. She also met her best enemy as she says, a boy named Gilbert Blythe. There are also other characters that brought to life the whole story and made Anne shine. As the story progresses as we watch on tv I was kinda anxious about how the events will turn out. My curiousity got the best of me so I had to watch the next episodes early by way of Youtube. I was happy to find full episodes with a playlist. It's just that the language is in Japanese and I had to read the subtitles. But I didn't mind because I really want to know what happens next. So after passing the entrance exam at Queens Academy Anne went there to study for a whole year. She often goes back to Green Gables at the end of each week but there was a time that the snow is so rough that she wasn't able to go back for about months on. Marilla and Matthew really misses her. All the while Marilla and Matthew has been experiencing some health problems. Matthew with his heart and Marilla with her frequent headaches that is due from her eyes. After the exam and Anne won the Avery scholarship she got to go back to Green Gables and was reunited with her friends and her guardians. I was just devastated when it got to the part where Matthew died. It was really heart wrenching. After his death Anne decided not to go to Redmond and stay with Marilla. She plans to teach at Avonlea which came true because Gilbert decided to give the chance to her. The last bits when Anne decided to thank Gilbert for what he did is the climax for me. They were able to reconcile after years of being not in so good terms because of old faults and misunderstandings. I was quite glad to think about how they will be after that. I was longing for a sequel that is also in animation but just coudn't find one. I read that Ms Lucy Maud M. made some sequels to the story and there are other shows too that I have seen online but I just expect that there will be a sequel in animation, too. Reaction to the whole story: I am hooked from the beginning because of Anne's being so talkative. I love her being so romantic in her speaking and daydreamings. I also like it meld with the character of Marilla which I think is uptight and so strict. It wouldn't work is she has another type of character. I mean I just think that their characters and personalities goes well together to send the message of a girl living in that type of situation. Matthew too added to the whole theme because his meakness that is contrary to Anne brings out the fun side to things. If that is the right interpretation of it. I just think that the three of them in one house and their situation makes the story more interesting and fun to watch. Because if Marilla or Matthew has a different character I think Anne's wouldn't be as effective. And that is why we love her. The other parts of the story like meeting Diana, her bosom friend adds to the flow of the story. Anne having to long for a real type of friend gives us the idea or the means to be grateful or to cherish someone whom doesn't really comes that often in our lives. It makes me think of friends that I had in the past that has that level that Diana and Anne has. It's like a goal we all have to achieve. To find that soulmate that we can stick to through thick or thin

Legazpi Albay Visit

We went to Albay last saturday for the wake and cremation of one of our dear relatives Manoy Narding. He has been a part of our family since I was young. I remember him working on our house then and he has been a mason for a while. I know him as a kind-hearted person and very hardworking to provide for his family. I remember making coffee for him for when he was here. The last time I did that for him he said that I finally got the blend right cause he didn't want it sweet as I usually make for him. I don't know if I remembered correctly but I thought he mentioned that he wants to be cremated when he dies. Kuya Jun doesn't think so and insists that Manoy prefers to be buried with his body whole. Those where the times that I remember Manoy. I didn't realize that was the last time I'll see him alive. So since he dies in Legazpi, his home town they had the wake there. Tito got cremated last Sunday and his remains was tranferred here in Manila for the viewing of near relatives. Mama is there to assist with the wake. Ate Margie, his eldest daughter was in charge of the whole thing. I really admire how she handled the whole process of Manoy's death and funeral. It took as around 12 hours to get to Albay. Kuya Elmer, one of our relative there who knew about our travel had booked a hotel for us to stay in and rest for a while. After the cremation he also assisted us in going to landmarks of the place. Albay is known for the famous Mayon Volcano, near there is the Cagsawa Ruins where we went after the cremation. I was quite disappointed that my cellphones keeps going low batt so I wasn't able to capture some of the sceneries there. Kuya Elmer also invited us for a lunch out and we were so full after that. He had us follow his car after and was quite anxious to see where we were. He brought us to a high place near the volcano where there is an overseeing, where we can see the whole of the place from a birds eye view. It was marvelous standing there seeing the wholeness of the place. It was raining when we got there but it subsided for a while so we were able to take some pictures. After that we were separated, they went home and we went our way to Manila. By the road we were able to buy some treats as pasalubong. I was able to buy a abaca basket from the ruins, there are plenty of souveneir shops there. I love handicraft products I can use as a display and storage. It was very late when we get to half of our journey so we weren't able to buy fruits that we planned on buying. At Gumaca, we ate on one of the famous eatery there called Lita's. They are famous for fresh seafood dishes. I think we got to Las Pinas at 3am midnight. It was quite a ride. So I'm documenting it now as best as I can so as to record our trip.

Tutorials Adventure by cedie aqui

June 2018 Jampacked ako sa paggawa ng samples at pagshoot ng tutorials na hinanay ko nitong mga nakaraang araw or buwan na nga ata. Oops! English pala dapat. So I have been accumulating samples and am shooting clips for making beaded items as a tutorial. It has been quite an adventure so far. I can't believe how much energy and time you put into it. Plus all the planning and practice you need to do. Researching on terms and letting yourself know it through and through. My first tutorials are not perfect in the least but it's a learning process that I have found to be a bit fun. I'm excited as to how it all works together. Waiting for the file to upload. Ofcourse since most of us are using internet here in the house I find it more convenient to upload them at night. So in the morning it will be all set up for edit. I'm just glad that our net is back. And crossfingered I wish that I will push through most of them. There's also that fact that I got monetized recently. I find it so exciting it makes me jump out of bed in the early morning. Which I don't have the habit of from this past weeks. I have something to look forward to. And I hope it stays that way for a while.

Beaded Clutch Bags

Beaded Clutch Bags Produces 4 different beaded pouch bags that are 9x6 inches in measurement recently. They have a new to me feature on them which is putting names and letters on them. I was learning how to do it as I go and has exhausted my strength and will in making them. Just quite happy of how it turned out though. The only problem now is delivering it to the owners. The fourth design of the bags has a heart in it. I decided to use the light pink first but not quite satisfied with it so I started another one using light gray and red for the heart. I doubted how it is coming up so I got back to the pink one and visualized the heart design. I settled in putting red and white hearts for the side parts only and after that I began to like it a bit so I got on with it. After making the bags during this past 10 days I got to making the box to put them in as my Aunt requested. I just used some saved carton from the TV that kuya gave mama and created one. I met with Tito and Auntie Myrna at my other Tito's wake and gave them these orders. They liked it and it's convenient for me in a way because I wouldn't need to go to their place to deliver them. so here are the said items...

Keychains Overload

KEYCHAINS GALORE I have been making beaded keychains as an order from my Tito for a while. Since we have the internet back now I think I should show you guys here as soon as I can and write a little about it. The first part of his order I delivered at their place and it consist of 50 pcs. I had enough time then to make him more so he ask for 100 pcs adding to the first batch. In the end I accumulated 180 pcs for him with some excess. This month has been a busy month for him cause baranggay election came up. He works as a President of their baranggay so he wanted to giveaway stuff to his constituents. To his pals and other people within the community. Making the keychains had been an adventure for me. I experimented with more designs so he can have a variety of it. I wanted to make a tutorial about them then but our luck with having the internet back on is so slim. It was taking too long to wait for it to come back. So my ate decided to apply for another internet provider and we recently got it installed. I was happy cause it gives me the liberty to post longer videos and write on my blog again. I am thinking of making tutorials again as soon as I set up all the things I needed. That means I have to make samples of designs. It's good to know that I already had designs in mind from the experience of making Tito's keychains. So without further ado here are the pics of the said items:

Crochet Puppets

My brother in-law has asked me a long time ago to make crochet puppets. He has a picture on hand that I can follow but it wasn't in crochet. I tried making it but had a hard time copying from the photo. So I took other pictures that can be a reference for it. That's when I made Iggu the aligator. I was quite pleased with it and I started with Kepler. Kepler is slightly bigger than Iggu and has some details from him unlike the first one. I remember that I incorporated a flat form for him and I've also sewn some fabric on the inside. In the end they both came out well and was quite pleased with it. It was suppose to be a start of a business for my kuya and I but it ended up being a toy for the kids specially Daniel. They had been playing with it eversince. Oh, as added project I also made a Fox Puppet named "Raffy". Just don't know where he is now.

Crochet Blouses out of Sugar Free Yarns

Crochet Blouses out of Sugar Free Yarns This past weeks I have been in a Crochet blouse frame of mind. I started a blouse from last year but wasn't able to pick it up for a while because of all the beads orders and holiday fever. So last last week I started to crochet it again. The pattern was from a Japanese Crochet/Knit magazine. Doubting if I ever can make them then. The pattern has a diagram that can be followed but the words are in Japanese. I felt intimidated. But I had the courage to follow the diagram and make it piece by piece. I made a mistake with the motifs part and the size of it but it came out quite well and fits Stella, my manequin. The yarn I used for it is a Sugar Free Yarn I won from the Yarn Caravan Event in Luneta that was hosted by Gantsilyo Filipino. We won the tag along contest of making a granny square. Most of my teammates has chosen a yarn already and I ended up with the orange one with lighter orange mixed with it. I was glad to have it because it turned out quite well. So after making that blouse I was encouraged to make another one using another Sugar Free Yarn that is called Ombre. For sometime I was thinking of what to do with it. Then I saw another pattern on the magazine that with be very appropriate to use for it. Although in the pattern the blouse only have one color I didn't think that a gradient yarn wouldn't be fit with it. I got the flow of making the blouse and enjoyed working on it. Watching the yarn change from one color to another. After finishing the blouse I got the urge to buy more of those yarns. I'm willing to save for it unlike before that I apprehend even buying it. So that is one of my goals now. So without further ado, here are the pictures...

On reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

On reading Harry Potter The Deathly Hallows: One day I decided to take the last book of the Harry Potter series and flip through some pages and start reading from there. So on Chapter 7 I started reading the book. I know it has been a while since I've read The Goblet of Fire and wasn't able to finish it. I cheated and gone right through the last part and read from there. And I have been doing that for some time now. It just sort of gave me purpose for each day. Something to look forward to in a small way. Like how I look forward to opening this laptop that kuya gave me and browsing it. Looking for things to do here. Like typing this silly narrative. I passed that dreaded part of the book for me. The part where Harry and Hermione (without Ron) went to Godric's Hollow and meet Bathilda or Nagini. I wanted to read as fast as I can so I can read that part. That part that I keep watching on youtube before. The part where Ron reunited with his friends and Hermione got angry at him and he explained stuff that is quite intriguing for me. How he explained the way he found how to get back to them. I'm on that middle part of the book now. I'm thinking about how can it be possible for the rest of the story to be on that other half part of the book. Cause I know there are plenty of things that's going to happen according to the movie. I keep comparing the book to the movie and citing some differences that there is. I don't know what will happen after me reading the book. Maybe I would try to find The Half Blood Prince from Kuya and read that or move on with other things but one thing is certain. It has given me some other thing to do. And to look forward to.

Sunflower and Pastel Mandala/Dreamcatcher

Sunflower and Pastel Colored DreamCatchers or Mandala: Lately I've been on a quest in making a different to me kind of Dreamcatcher or Mandala, a wall hanging if you like. It is requested to me by a cousin of my brother in-law that used to order from me a bear amigurumi. She wanted a Sunflower designed one and also a Pastel colored one that needs to be combined with black yarn color. I researched online for pictures that I can get an idea from and found some and so I started on making the middle part composed of two crochet circles that I sew together and put a foam inside. I have come to make 2 brown ones in two sizes and two black ones. I was hoping to have spare as a sample and experiment more on. Then I started making the petals that is going to be connected on the crochet circles. I have made petals with yellow and orange colors. I sewn them to the circles but when Micolle saw it she said she preferred the yellow one from the orange. When I said I'm gonna sew the yellow petals to the black rounded crochet, she rejected it and said I should put it on the brown instead. So I followed her and made some. I let Ysrah see my progress and she has been making some adjustments to it. I enjoyed making the sunflowers and just a while ago I was able to put the fringes on it using the colors of yarns used for it plus some mohair and eyelash yarns that ms Jan gave me. I forwarded the pictures to Ysrah but she has to reply yet. Tomorrow I'm going to ask my brother in-law to send it to her. She requested I put them on a nice plastic bag so after hearing from her I'm gonna do that. Here are some of the pictures:

Monetization

January 21, 2018 Sunday I tried applying for monetization on Youtube last November 2017 and had been reading their policies and learning how to monetize my channel. When I started making videos on Youtube last 2014 I just wanted to show my projects and be a member of the yarn community. But eversince I have been making tutorials about beaded wallets I thought of monetizing. I just needed to have some type of income to support my tutorials and for me to build it better. So I applied for it last year in hopes of being approved. Days and weeks past and still the monetization button is not enabled. I was wondering what I did wrong or did I miss something. I keep borrowing a laptop from my sister to read their policies and keep searching for things that I wasn't able to do. I even thought I should pass the creators exam part of it. I thought about having the 10,000 views requirement and even surpassed it. I also applied for adsense and I followed through the bits of it but what might be the problem? So as soon as I saw Ms Zoe's recent video featuring monetization then I knew what it was. I am dismayed with the requirements that needs to be met before monetization approval. I thought about the first few months when I started to make videos. How hard to even make 50 subbies. It's just lately that my subbies list picked up. All because of my tutorials. I'm quite happy with 800 subbies but to know that I needed 1k subbies to be monetized really saddened me. What more is it needs to be met come February 20. A thought came to mind that it is impossible for me to meet that. It's just not plausible to accumulate that much more subbies in quite a short time. I hoped they will extend it. It is really becoming a huge stumbling block but what can we do? We can only try our best to promote our channel and hope for the best. But for whatever outcome it may have I am still determined to make more show and tell videos and tutorials because I have come to love the community that I am in and what's important is it makes me happy. And I also hope to make my friends happy.

January 2018 Update

Had a long vacation from blogging. December was rush time in making beaded wallets orders. Swamped with the holidays too. It's a new year and i'm looking forward to new things and new opportunities. Maybe I'll learn new techniques and make new to me projects. I just hope I get paid well for them cause I want to save up for a laptop of my own that I can use to update my podcasts and do research.

I know it will take a while for me to achieve it but it is being the only thing that I want for now plus I really need it. I once applied for a teaching English job online and one of their requirements is a laptop so It really has been playing in my mind. It is good to have a goal of some type. There are things I can do on it that I'm not able to do with just an android phone. For one typing there would be easier and quick to edit. Reading articles and policies would be much better because of the wider screen. I can go to links i'm not able to go to with just the phone. Plus many other perks of a laptop.

We don't have an internet for now. Our provider is having a maintenance and fixing some things and it has been a while now. It's pretty hard not having an internet. For one you can't watch podcasts and videos on youtube. You can't update yourself for recent posts and happenings on facebook. You can't research on things on google. Simple things you want to know right away are gone like when you want to find out what that title of the movie is that is running through your head. But i guess it has some positive side to it like the kids tend to play usual games on their own and you get to continuously work on something without having to always check on your phone. So all in all it's somewhat okay.

I just miss my friends online and the yarn community. I also have some videos I want to upload. I need to check on my Sims too. I was contemplating whether to buy a simcard so I can avail their data connection but is apprehending because it would be costly. So for now i'm just gonna continue on my amigurumi experiment and enjoy it.
