An Update. What's Up
Hello guys. Sorry I haven't been blogging for a while. I was kinda busy with my beaded wallets order that my Tito will giveaway for Christmas and a few order from my cousin Faye and my Tita Ely's friend. I had a new tutorial ongoing though. It's about a Circle Designed wallet. I'm on the part 2 of uploading it. I usually upload it during the night and let it upload when I'm sleeping so I wouldn't make the internet connection slow for the others to use.
I'm happy about one thing and that's an event being organized by Gantsilyo Filipino, a community on Facebook with filipino crocheters and crafters. They are organizing a Yarn Bombing Event in Luneta and there are crochet items that we need to make and bring there. There are also groups wherein you can choose to be and I chosen the dreamcatchers group cause I have some leftover rattan rings that I can use for it. There are also other groups that will make granny squares, flowers, doilies and amigurumis. I'm hoping to take videos there to post on my Youtube channel. Pretty exciting stuff.
So I guess that's it for now. I got the chance to post a blog cause I borrowed my brother in-laws laptop today. Happy Crafting everyone!

Monokini
The Monokini is like a puzzle. I need to make the pieces first then put it together. The side part of the short is like a corset that needs some strings to adjust. The bra cup part has a bra foam inside and some lining that i saw along the crochet part. The middle part i crochet separately too using a diagram then attached to the upper and lower part. The strings of the top has to be the same length. I made a diagram with the measurements i used for future use. I also bought a mannequin so i can continue this and feel more confident in making them. Gonna post made photos soon.

Bolero Mania
Have been making boleros lately for a niece of mine. First I found one on youtube which is a cardigan pattern from Ruby Stedman using bruges lace crochet. It came out very long and the yarn makes it very warm to wear. I revised it and lessened a few stitches on the middle part and now it looked better. I made a red one because I really liked the pattern but unfortunately my niece doesn't like the color. I discovered a diagram online and decided to start it and the design that came out is really pretty. Using mercerized cotton yarn I made 3 in the colors beige, black and one with varigated color. I'm quite happy making them and since memorized the pattern. I have another one on the. It felt awesome to once again make a project using merz cotton as I missed using it. Hope you guys have a busy crafting day. This is Rose from the Philippines signing off.

Tunisian Crochet Bag/Space Invaders Inspired
Been experimenting with Tunisian crochet lately. I'm quite interested and awed with it because it does well with colorwork. I had a customer before that asked me to make him some Space Invaders designed item and I quickly thought of tunisian crochet in making them. Back then i don't have the necessary tool for it so i used a regular hook that holds a few stitches so i was able to make a cellholder. I wanted to experiment on it more that's why i'm very grateful that some of my friends on youtube sent me a couple of tunisian crochet hooks. So i made a bag recently and this is what it looks like.
And I have been using it eversince
Shark Hat
So my nephew Mamac is going to have a talent show at school tomorrow so I rushed a Shark Hat for him because he is going to sing Baby shark dooo doo doo doo... for that. He already have a life vest for swimming that has a fin at the back for it but a hat would be nicer. I hope he performs well and here are photos of him wearing it.
Good luck Mamac!

My bestfriend has been working on an events company where they accomodate customers for flower designs for their occasions and she had asked me to make a lettering for a debut party and here are the photos of it:
And then she had me make 50pcs of dreamcatchers using a 16" of rattan ring with ribbons and lace. I had help with my mother, sister and niece for it.
It has been 3 days to accomplish the task but i'm happy cause it was a success

This blog will be a journal of my past and recent projects that will serve as a catalogue for future reference and to show to customers. I will also put here my adventures with my works.
I have a youtube channel that I want to ask for you guys to view and subscribe to and it is called Gantsilyera. People ask me why that name. I got the idea from the crochet word in Spanish 'ganchillo' which is gantsilyo in tagalog so i merged it to yera to turn it into gantsilyera which might mean a female crocheter.
Along with crochet I also enjoy knitting, coloring, sewing, lettering and beading which I also showcase with my videos. I'm happy to be a member of the yarn community in youtube and I got inspired by other podcasters to make videos. It is a very loving and supporting community that I am very grateful about.
So please join me with my endezvours and hope to see you guys soon.

It took me over a month to put this thing together. There are several other projects that i did in between this. Just recently decided to fully prioritize and finish this one. The suit of the amigurumi is detacheable. I incorporated zipper at the back and some buttons to do that. Now i can move on to my other projects that is smaller than this one. Wish me luck.

It was a spur of the moment thing to put the fringes on these wall hangings. The middle part has been made for a while now. It's just when I made some pompoms out of the pompom maker ms jan gave me that I decided to continue this projects. It is missing the third one in orange. The fringes are using some mohair and eyelash yarns. I'm hoping to give this to my titas on April.
